The groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of Jiangsu Susa Food Co., Ltd. was held with great fanfare.

As the new year begins, all things are renewed. At 9:18 a.m. on February 25, 2024, Jiangsu Susa Food Co., Ltd. held a grand groundbreaking ceremony for its Phase II project. This milestone marks Susa’s continued commitment to establishing a stronger foothold in Taizhou, with increased investment in scaling up and automating its domestic processing operations, thus ushering in a new chapter of capacity expansion, enhanced competitiveness, and sustained growth.

Susa Food Co., Ltd. was established in 2008 and is a food and beverage enterprise integrating R&D, production, sales, and import‑export trade. The company is dedicated to developing the entire value chain of coconut‑based products. It operates numerous brands, including “Susa,” “Ye Hao,” “Ye Jing Hua,” “Tou Dao Xian,” and “San Dai Mu.” Its core product portfolio comprises over 100 SKUs across six major beverage categories—such as “Freshly Squeezed Coconut Juice,” “Coconut Water,” “Thick Coconut Milk,” and “Fruit‑Infused Juices”—primarily marketed in East China, Central China, North China, and Northeast China. Currently, Susa Group encompasses six subsidiaries: Jiangsu Susa, Guangdong Susa, Zhanjiang Susa, Zhanjiang Junte, Vietnam Susa, and Susa Food, with a workforce of more than 2,000 employees. The company operates 32 production lines, including sterile cold‑filling lines, hot‑filling lines, plastic‑bottle plant‑protein beverage lines, glass‑bottle plant‑protein beverage lines, aluminum‑can beverage lines, and blow‑molding bottle‑making lines. The first phase of Jiangsu Susa Food Co., Ltd.’s project covers 120 mu of land and was completed and put into operation in October 2016. Over the years, thanks to its superior product quality and strong market reputation, the company has earned the favor and trust of a broad consumer base.

The second-phase project has officially broken ground, spanning 100 mu of land with a planned total floor area exceeding 70,000 square meters. With a substantial investment, the project aims to further expand production capacity and swiftly establish a state-of-the-art, intelligent manufacturing facility characterized by high input, high output, superior quality, exceptional efficiency, and low emissions. The company will also introduce cutting-edge equipment and production lines from both domestic and international sources, assemble SuSa’s top-tier technical expertise and talent, and relentlessly pursue excellence to strengthen its product competitiveness. By doing so, SuSa seeks to generate greater tax revenues and employment opportunities for Taizhou, contributing its unique strength to the city’s economic development.

The government delegation included Hang Huidong, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Pharmaceutical High-tech Zone, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone Management Office; Cai Lei, Party Secretary and Director of the Development and Reform Commission of the Pharmaceutical High-tech Zone (Gaogang District); Wang Xiaojin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone Management Office; and Zhou Ming, Deputy Director of the Taizhou Port Economic Development Zone Management Office and Party Secretary of Baima Town. They extended warm congratulations on the commencement of the project and expressed high appreciation for Susa Company’s outstanding achievements in the food and beverage industry. The construction contractor was represented by Wang Jun, Chairman of Nantong Fanhua Construction Group Co., Ltd., and Chen Yujun, Branch Manager. Susa Company was represented by several senior executives from Jiangsu Susa and Susa Foods.

The groundbreaking ceremony unfolded in a solemn and orderly atmosphere. First, Mr. Liu Baoxing, Chairman of Sosa Corporation, delivered a speech. He reflected on the company’s journey—from its humble beginnings, through more than a decade of challenges and perseverance—to its current status as a major food group with three production bases and six subsidiary enterprises. Since the commencement of construction at Sosa Vietnam at the end of 2023, followed by today’s grand groundbreaking for Phase II of the Jiangsu headquarters, and now with the imminent start of construction on Sosa’s new factory in Guangdong this April, within just half a year, all three of the company’s domestic and international production bases have simultaneously broken ground—an achievement rarely seen not only in Sosa’s history but also in the annals of China’s beverage industry. The Chairman emphasized that, though the company remains relatively small within the industry, standing at this new starting point, he is confident that Sosa will soon unveil a completely new chapter. He also extended his gratitude to government leaders, partners, and all the organizations involved in the project who have shown concern and support, as well as to every colleague who has contributed to Sosa’s growth. He pledged to lead the team in continuing their efforts to deliver consumers with more high‑quality, healthy, and delicious food and beverage products. His remarks were met with warm applause from the guests in attendance.

Following this, Mr. Wang Jun, Chairman of the construction contractor, took the floor. On behalf of Nantong Fanhua Construction Group Co., Ltd., he extended his congratulations on the project’s commencement and pledged to leverage the company’s professional expertise and technical capabilities to ensure the project progresses smoothly in accordance with stringent standards of quality and efficiency. Chairman Wang Jun emphasized that the company would spare no effort to build a modern, intelligent production base for Susa Corporation, thereby contributing its full support to the company’s growth.
