Eliminating potential accident hazards and fortifying the safety defense line—Susa Food’s emergency drill is underway!

This June marks the 19th National “Work Safety Month.” On the afternoon of June 15, Susa Food Co., Ltd. conducted a comprehensive emergency response drill at the north square of its factory premises, under the theme “Eliminate Potential Hazards and Strengthen the Safety Defense Line.”

At the event, Li Xiangyang, Deputy General Manager of SUSA Company, delivered a mobilization speech. He stated that by conducting emergency response drills as part of “Safety Production Month,” the company will further deepen the implementation of the month’s thematic activities, uphold the principle of “life first, safety paramount,” strengthen awareness of the red line in workplace safety, enhance the company’s overall safety management, fulfill its primary responsibility for safe production, and establish a dual mechanism for tiered risk control and hazard identification and remediation, thereby effectively improving all employees’ capacity to respond to emergencies and manage crisis situations.

As the alarm sounded, Deputy General Manager Li Xiangyang, upon receiving the “fire” alert, promptly reported to General Manager Deng Baohua and received instructions to immediately activate the company’s emergency response plan. He used a walkie-talkie to notify all employees to evacuate swiftly to the designated emergency assembly point. At the same time, he dispatched the evacuation team and the rescue team to the scene without delay: the evacuation team guided personnel to leave the “fire site” in an orderly and calm manner, successfully bringing everyone to a safe area, while the rescue team arrived on scene at once to provide medical care to the “injured.”

Through this fire drill, employees have gained the ability to effectively respond to sudden fire incidents, enhancing their emergency response capabilities and operational proficiency in handling workplace safety accidents. This ensures that, should a major workplace safety incident occur, the company can organize efficiently, react swiftly, operate with high effectiveness, and maintain composure under pressure, thereby minimizing the harm caused by such incidents. However, the exercise also revealed certain issues and areas for improvement, which General Manager Deng Baohua, as the overall commander, addressed in his concluding remarks.

During this exercise, which was conducted in rainy conditions, all participants successfully completed their assigned tasks. Overall, the operation proceeded smoothly and largely achieved its intended objectives. We hope that, in future drills, everyone will fully recognize the importance of information exchange and communication, further enhance information flow during exercises, meticulously and earnestly review and summarize lessons learned, and continue to refine the organizational framework for emergency rescue simulations—ensuring that “practice” truly prepares us for “real‑world” operations.
