As the opening promotional video aired, the 2019 “Zhejiang Signature Dish Championship” was officially launched on the first floor of the Zhejiang Radio and Television Group’s new headquarters.

This highly anticipated championship has sounded its opening notes in the picturesque province of Zhejiang. Let us together explore and celebrate our culinary heritage, helping more people discover and fall in love with Zhejiang’s distinctive flavors.

This year’s championship is themed “Seeking Authentic Zhejiang Flavors, Cheering for Joyful Gatherings,” and we believe that in every setting where food and camaraderie come together, you’ll find our elite troops.

Before entering the venue, one’s eyes are immediately drawn to a row of imposing “Special Forces” flags.

The tea break area was filled with Susa’s signature drink, “Special Forces,” for guests to sample.

The exuberant tropical‑style dance kicked off to a lively musical score. With its fiery yet unpretentious charm and crisp, deft hand movements around the skirt, it drew thunderous applause from the guests in attendance, marking the first thrilling highlight of the launch ceremony.

Guest Address

To begin, Mr. Zhang Jun, Deputy Director of Qianjiang Urban Channel—the initiator of this event—delivered the opening address. On behalf of Qianjiang Urban Channel, he extended his highest respect and heartfelt gratitude to all sectors of society who have supported and participated in the event.

Following this, Ms. Wang Juan, Marketing Director of the event’s organizer, Susa Food Co., Ltd., delivered a speech. In her address, she provided a brief overview of the Susa brand’s evolution and expressed her high hopes for this Zhejiang Cuisine Championship.

Finally, Mr. Li Linsheng, Executive President of the Zhejiang Provincial Catering Industry Association, delivered a speech. As a master of Zhejiang cuisine, he expressed his commitment to welcoming this event with the utmost enthusiasm and sincere dedication, and extended his best wishes for its complete success.

Following the address, mixologist Mr. Tang treated the audience to his signature flair‑show cocktail performance—right from the opening act, it was a real headliner, complete with sparks, sending the entire room into a feverish, high‑energy vibe.

Host Long Weiwei used a PowerPoint presentation to provide the attendees with a detailed overview of the competition’s schedule. After hearing the briefing, I was truly thrilled—just who will claim the championship?

Since the “Special Forces Zhejiang Signature Dish Battle” issued its open invitation, the event has drawn numerous culinary experts to sign up and take part.
